There are several risks of gastric bypass surgery. This procedure assists in creating a way to limit the intake of food items to a certain location.

More specifically, a small pouch like area that is created during the surgical procedure is the area where the food should enter. Gastric bypass surgery works to “bypass” certain areas of the small intestine.
