People who are so overweight that the weight lives their lives for them frequently feel a tremendous sense of freedom after they have had a gastric bypass. This will be the tales involved in gastric bypass before and after.

One young lady was feeling her weight was tearing her down emotionally. At school she sat at the back of the class so that no one could complain of not being to see around her, in a bus she took a seat way in the back, so no one could complain of trying to get around her with briefcases or packages.

When pictures were taken either for a class picture or even family photos this lady was always found at the very back, in the hopes that others in the party would cover up her large body. Eventually, she had to use a walker to move around, as her legs could no longer support the immense weight that had just poured onto her.

As she moved around the classroom where she taught school, she wheezed, as it seemed she could never quite catch her breath. It was then that she presented to a well-known gastric bypass surgeon and pleaded for him to change her life as she weighed over 300 pounds.

She is now a svelte 145 pounds, and has met the man of her dreams and married him a year and a half ago after she went for her Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass surgery and lost over 160 pounds. She just gave birth to two very healthy twin boys. She can’t imagine how difficult that pregnancy would have been with all the weight she had, if she’d have even gotten pregnant in the first place.

Next in our saga of gastric bypass before and after we look at a young man who by the time he was 21, weighed 395 pounds. He had begun to suffer many consequences from being so large, not the least of which was that no girls were ever even remotely interested in him, but that meant an awful lot to him, of course.

He had been overweight a far back as he could remember, and he did not feel that he ate more than the other kids, but the weight just kept pilling on without any let up! In desperation he looked into getting gastric bypass surgery, and did elect to receive it.

OK, ok, what’s the gastric bypass before and after with this guy? Well, a month after his surgery he had lost 45 pounds and three months after his surgery he had lost a total of 95 pounds! He has never felt better, according to him, and he has further learned how to eat better, eating only small portions, and he maintains a healthy diet as well as being able to exercise. He proudly says that all together now he’s lost 151 pounds in 18 months.
